Insurance Greensboro' Mutual Insurance Company

The Greensborough Mutual Insurance Company was established in 1850 for fire insurance. There is evidence that the firm operated throughout the Civil War, but failed to survive the failure of antebellum banks and other other repudiated Confederate bonds and notes.
